How to Have it All

...or How to Get Filthy Rich God's Way!

By David J. Stewart

“He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” —Romans 8:32

If you want to become filthy rich... I mean so rich that you'll own everything in the universe... then take to heart Romans 8:32 . . . “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” Titus 1:2 tells us that God cannot lie. If you are a born-again Christian, then everything God has is yours. Revelation 21:7 promises . . . “He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.” Amen!

The Bible tells us in Romans 8:32 that if God was willing to give up His own Son for us, then He will certainly freely give us all things. I like that word freely. In contrast to this sinful world where the only free-lunch is on a mousetrap, God will make good on His promises because of the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ (1st Peter 1:18,19). Jesus paid paid it all, so we could have it all. Now that's a wonderful Savior! Mankind cannot possibly comprehend how much God loves us. It's easy to look at the problems in our life and lose sight of eternity. This life is a big test and the key is to focus upon the Scriptures and have faith in God day by day, even when our life seems beyond hope.

The Apostle Paul said in 1st Corinthians 7:29-32 . . .

But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none; And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not; And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away. But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord.”

In other words, don't place too much weight upon the events of this temporal life, because this world passeth away—keep your sights on eternity and one day being with the Lord forever. Rejoice that your name is written in Heaven. I so much desire to live with the Lord in the place He is preparing for me (John 14:1-3). What a day that will be!

Think about it... Jesus Himself has promised to prepare a place, a home, for every born-again believer in eternity. . .

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:1-3).

Why spend your whole life amassing wealth in this lousy world, where the declining dollar will rob you of your spending power over the years to come? It's no different than if armed thieves broke into your account and stole the money. Yet, the Federal Reserve bankers can legally do it with the stroke of a pen. We are living in a wicked world—where the markets, economy and banking system are rigged—why play their game? Those evil men and their families may be rich in this world; but oh the misery that awaits them in eternity . . .

Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you (James 5:1).

The poorest saint in Heaven will be wealthier than the richest man on earth. Oh, the vanity of pursuing earthly riches...

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness” (1st Timothy 6:8-11).

The Great Commission is more than winning souls to Christ; it is also teaching them to go becoming soul-winners too. The Great Commission was intended to perpetuate Christianity until the end of time. The Great Commission is two-fold (Matthew 28:19-20).

Jesus plainly commanded all believers to lay up treasures in Heaven where thieves cannot steal, nor will our possessions rust old, nor wear out as they do here upon the earth (Matthew 6:20). If you want to be eternally wealthy, first make sure of your salvation; and then second, commit your life to winning souls to Jesus Christ . . .

And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever” (Daniel 12:3).
