“...And These Three Are One”!

1st John 1:7, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

       Please notice that THERE ARE THREE! Clearly, the one living God exists in THREE PERSONS! I am surprised how many religious people have difficulty with the Bible doctrine of the Godhead (aka, the Trinity). It doesn't surprise me that Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons and other damnable cults deny the Trinity, but it saddens me when I learn about them in independent Baptist churches; such as, former Baptist missionary, Garrett Kirchway. The doctrine of the Godhead is a fundamental doctrine of the Christian faith!

Furthermore, independent Baptist churches are helping people to deny the Trinity, by accepting the Devil's modern Bible versions! Let's read our text verse again, because it is so important—1st John 5:7, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” Now dear reader (and Oh this is so ungodly and disgusting), here is what the English Standard Version (ESV) says, that Bob Jones University shamefully sanctions, uses and sells—“For there are three that testify:” What the hell is that? Where's the rest of the Bible verse? My God in Heaven, what is going on at Bob Jones? Why do they bid Godspeed to that Satanic garbage?

Hey, and here is what the Easy-To-Read Version (ERV) says, which Harvest Baptist Church on Guam (who have banned me over the Bible since 2014) shamefully sanction, use and sell—“So there are three witnesses that tell us about Jesus:” Do you see what the Devil is doing? The modern Bible revisions all strategically change key passages concerning the doctrine of Christ, thus perverting the inspired Word of God. Jeremiah 23:36b, “...for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God.” Woe be unto Bob Jones University and their alumni for pulling on the same rope as the Devil! The Holy Bible teaches that THERE ARE THREE separate and distinct persons in the Godhead, WHO ARE ONE! This truth refutes the heresy called Modalism (Unitarianism), which teaches that Jesus and the Father are the same person, and don't exist in separate bodies. In fact, God the Son, and God the Father, are two separate and distinct individual persons, and yet they are one. That might not make good math, but it makes good Bible.

Jesus' Bodily Resurrection Teaches Immortality For The Whole Man In Both Body And Soul!

Check this out from Colossians 3:1, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.” How can Jesus sit on the Father's right hand, if they are the SAME person? Obviously they cannot! Clearly, the Son and the Father sit upon their own separate thrones in Heaven. I don't claim to understand the Trinity; the Bible plainly calls the Godhead “the mystery.” Colossians 2:2, “That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;” Thankfully, we don't need to understand everything to please God, we simply need to fear and obey Him (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14).

One of the associate pastors of Harvest Baptist Church called me into the church office to scold me in 2014, berating me for telling church members that the modern Bible versions are corrupted by Satan. Sadly, the church as of 2020 still upholds this errant position on the Holy Bible, sanctioning the Alexandrian Bible PERversions! That clown's excuse was that Harvest has at least 18 bilingual groups who cannot understand the King James Bible, so they need the modern PERversions! Well, from what I just showed you from 1st John 5:7, do you think those bilingual folks will understand the Godhead? Not a chance! Oh, it gets much worse! From the ERV, here is Romans 1:20a, “There are things about God that people cannot see—his eternal power and all that makes him God.” Whoa! Let me now quote to you the three Scripture passages, from the inspired King James Bible, which teach the blessed doctrine of the “Godhead”...

Acts 17:29, “Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.”

Romans 1:20, “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”

Colossians 2:8-9, “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”

Did you see Romans 1:20? The Easy-To-Read Version (ERV) changed “Godhead” to “all that makes him God.” Folks, those two renderings are light years apart!!! The word “Godhead” refers to the triune nature of God, but the ERV completely obliterates the concept. We're talking about the omnipotent inspired words of almighty God here! Take a look at the Greek and you'll find one word, θειότης, which the King James translators rendered as “Godhead.” The stupid phrase “all that makes him God” in the ERV doesn't come anywhere near what the Greek says. In other words, you are being deceived folks!!! Get you an inspired King James Bible!!!!!!!

ABOVE: I am just making a humble observation. I love the folks at Harvest, more than they know. I pray for them always, and wish we could be friends, but they are deceived by corruptible seed!

The Devil's counterfeit modern Bible revisions do great harm to the doctrine of Christ, changing these key passages about the deity of Jesus, and in many cases completely removing the concept of the Godhead (i.e., Trinity).

If 1st John 5:7 isn't in your Bible, it is garbage! In defense of 1st John 5:7 being in the Scriptures, please read: “The Johannine Comma” (full text). 1st John 5:7, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” That is the inspired Word of God! THERE ARE THREE the Bible says, not just ONE! Those THREE ARE ONE! I wrote this article because the false idea that Jesus and God the Father are THE SAME person, sharing the same body, has crept into many churches (and plagues the internet). The Jehovah's Witnesses religious cult come to mind, who openly deny the Trinity and Jesus' deity. JW's claim Jesus is “a god,” but not almighty God. Well, JW's need to read Christ's very own words in Revelation 1:8, “ I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” Amen! JESUS IS ALMIGHTY GOD!!!

Take a look at 1st Timothy 3:16b in the inspired King James Bible, versus the English Standard Version (ESV) that Bob Jones University sanctions, uses and sells; and some other modern perversions...

KJB - “God was manifest in the flesh”

ESV - “He was manifested in the flesh”

ERV - “Christ was shown to us in human form”

NIV - “He appeared in the flesh”

TLB - “Christ, who came to earth as a man”

NLT - “Christ was revealed in a human body”

MSG - “He appeared in a human body”

Voice - “He was revealed in the flesh”

SHAME ON BOB JONES UNIVERSITY! SHAME ON HARVEST BAPTIST CHURCH ON GUAM!!! Shame on all of them for promoting this ungodly corrupt filth!!! Look for yourself again, how Satan's Bible revisions (all from Westcott and Hort's 1881 Greek translation), change 1st Timothy 3:16 to eliminate the deity of Jesus Christ! It is wickedness!!!

Only the accurate King James Bible upholds the fundamental doctrine of THE TRINITY! Who is “He” in the ESV, MSG (The message), Voice (The Voice), and NIV (New International Version)? The ERV, NLT (New Living translation), and TLB (The Living Bible) are meaningless, saying that Christ was shown in human form, but that doesn't say that Jesus is God, as DOES the accurate King James Bible. It should be obvious to you dear reader that Satan is attacking Jesus deity, corrupting the doctrine of Christ. I hope you see that! The King James Bible is very clear (which is why the Devil's religious unsaved crowd are changing it), that GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH! Jesus was THE GODHEAD on earth!

When you met Jesus on earth, you met God the Father and God the Holy Spirit, Who fully dwelled in Him as deity. Colossians 2:8-9, “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.” Literally, God walked among men in the form of a virgin born sinless man, as the only begotten Son of God (John 1:1-13, 14). I love you Lord, thank you for dying for my sins on the cross!!!

Jesus is Almighty God

Dear reader, THE foundational truth upon which all of Christianity is based is the TRINITY! Everything falls apart when the Godhead is dismantled. The Devil fully understands this. The Bible warns in no uncertain terms again ANOTHER JESUS. 2nd Corinthians 11:3-4, “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”

For example: The Jehovah's Witnesses (JW's) religious cult (founded by Charles Taze Russell in 1874) have ANOTHER JESUS. Here is a heretical quote from their very own website... 

We have faith that Jesus came to earth from heaven and gave his perfect human life as a ransom sacrifice. (Matthew 20:28) His death and resurrection make it possible for those exercising faith in him to gain everlasting life. (John 3:16) We also believe that Jesus is now ruling as King of God’s heavenly Kingdom, which will soon bring peace to the entire earth. (Revelation 11:15) However, we take Jesus at his word when he said: “The Father is greater than I am.” (John 14:28) So we do not worship Jesus, as we do not believe that he is Almighty God. Did you read that folks? JW's do not believe that Jesus is almighty God, but Oh how wrong they are! Perhaps you ask (as do many skeptics) where in the Holy Bible does Jesus claim to be God? I am so glad you asked my non-feathered friend. One irrefutable passage of Scripture is found in John 8:57-58, “Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.” To understand this Bible passage you need to read Exodus 3:14, “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.” God told Moses to tell the Hebrews that “I AM” sent him to deliver them out of bondage from Egypt. So by claiming to be the “I AM” in John 8:58, Jesus was directly claiming to be God almighty!

What's that, you what another Bible verse? Well, you got it my friend. Take a look at John 10:33, “The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.” How much clearer could the Holy Scriptures be that Jesus Himself claimed to be God almighty? The Jews falsely accused Jesus of the sin (and Jewish crime) of “BLASPHEMY” for claiming to be God! Don't miss that! The Jews perfectly understood that Jesus DID in fact claim to be God, and it made them angry. It made them angry because they were unbelievers! To the unsaved man, Jesus is merely a historical figure. Many religious people honor Martin Luther King Jr. as a famous Baptist preacher, but in fact, Mr. King was a reprobate unbeliever, who openly denied Jesus' deity, virgin birth and bodily resurrection. Sadly, that means Mr. King is burning in Hell forever, having died in his sins without Jesus Christ. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had ANOTHER JESUS!!!

Another irrefutable passage of Scripture, showing where Jesus claimed to be God is found in John 14:1, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” If Jesus were not God almighty, then He would have been guilty of the sin of idolatry. Here is some solid Scriptural support for what I am teaching, to reinforce the fact that Jesus would have been committing a very wicked sin, to make such a claim in John 14:1 if He were not God almighty. ...

Acts 12:21-23, “And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.”

It wasn't even Herod who professed to be God, it was the people, they hailed Herod as if he were a god. But Herod didn't pass that praise toward God, he kept it for himself, and the Holy Spirit smote him with parasitic worms. We can clearly see how great of a sin it is to receive the praises of men, and fail to forward it to God. Yet, our Lord allowed people to worship Him, and didn't stop them. Matthew 8:2-3, “And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.” Jesus never corrected anyone when they worshipped Him, because He is almighty God! What saith the Scripture? ...

Revelation 22:8-9, “And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.”

So in summary of the Scripture passages I just shared with you, we see clear evidence that it is a horrible sin to worship anybody other than God. Revelation 22:9b says “WORSHIP GOD.” Yet we see that a leper worshipped Jesus in Matthew 8:2, and the Lord allowed him to do it; but in Revelation 22:8-9 the apostle John worshipped the angel, and the angel stopped and rebuked him for it, telling him to WORSHIP GOD. This is clear evidence that Jesus is God, because only God is to be worshipped. When Herod accepted worship from people, the Holy Spirit killed him! In John 14:1 Jesus told the people that if they believed in God, they should also believe in Him. Again, this is clear evidence of Christ's deity.

Dear reader, JESUS IS ALMIGHTY GOD! I could show you many more precious Scripture passages. The deity of Christ is unmistakable in Scripture. Our blessed Savior came to this earth, born of a virgin, as God in the flesh. Jesus is not God the Father in person, but He is God the Father in the unity of the Godhead. Deuteronomy 6:4-5, “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” In their ignorance, Muslims accuse Christians of being “polytheists” for their belief in the Trinity, but they are wrong in their understanding. We don't believe in multiple gods as Christians, we believe that there is only one God, Who exists in three persons (namely: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost).

And that is the title of this article: “FOR THERE ARE THREE” (AND THESE THREE ARE ONE). Beware of the Devil's counterfeit Bible versions which the ungodly folks at Bob Jones University promote, and the ungodly folks at Harvest Baptist Church on Guam promote, and countless other apostate religious organizations today promote. In so doing they are pulling on the same rope as the Devil. I say that kindly, speaking THE TRUTH in love (Ephesians 4:15).
 

Conclusion

Satan's greatest spiritual battle advancement, over the past century, has been the modern Bible revisions. It is shocking and mind boggling, that tens of thousands of churches today are okay with having DOZENS of different Bible versions. If the King James Bible were the only Bible, and all of a sudden a Bible publisher introduced 100 new and improved Bible versions ALL AT ONCE, every churchgoer in the world would have adamantly rejected them!!! But because the Devil has introduced them ONE AT A TIME, incrementally over the past century, churches haven't perceived THE THREAT!

By removing the important words, “AND THESE THREE ARE ONE,” from 1st John 5:7b, the modern Bible revisions render this Scripture meaningless and ineffective concerning the Godhead. You need to understand that, effectively, to attack the doctrine of the Godhead is a direct assault upon the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank God for the inspired King James Bible that uplifts, honors and exalts the precious Lord Jesus Christ, my God and Savior!!!
