The dominating concern for all Bible-related courses, from English Bible to
Theology and Ethics, in Bob Jones University is what the Bible teaches. This
is of paramount importance to us because we believe in the verbal
inspiration and absolute inerrancy of the Bible. We believe, as
Fundamentalists have always believed, that this inspiration refers to the
original manuscripts. "The record for whose inspiration we contend is the
original record—the autographs or parchments of Moses, David, Daniel,
Matthew, Peter, or Paul as the case may be and not any particular
translation or translations of them whatever" (The Fundamentals,
"Inspiration of the Bible," p. 127).
When we teach the content of the Bible, we naturally study a passage in the
Greek Testament. To aid the students in understanding that passage, we will
take to class the King James Bible, which often gives an exact rendering of
the Greek. Sometimes we will consult some other conservative translation,
such as the American Standard Version of 1901 or the New American Standard
Bible (not the liberal R[evised] S[tandard] V[ersion]), which at times gives
the most accurate rendering of the Greek. We are always trying to help the
students grasp the exact meaning of the original Greek text. There are a few
passages in which the delicate shades of meaning in the Greek are missed by
all English translations, in which cases we must explain from the Greek text
itself those fine shades of meaning. We would not use a liberal paraphrase
in class except as an illustration of a mistranslation, which we would at
once correct by a true translation. We have no sympathy with any version of
the Bible that is not faithful to the Greek text.
Because we believe in the inspiration of the original manuscripts of the Old
and New Testaments, it is important that we have a Greek Testament that will
be as close to the readings of the original as possible. Through the
carelessness of scribes who copied manuscripts, many varying readings have
crept into them. But God in His providence has preserved for us the original
reading through the large number of manuscripts in existence that witness to
the text of the New Testament. Today there are two Greek texts available.
One is the Received Text, edited by [a] Roman Catholic scholar, Erasmus, in
the sixteenth century and based on manuscripts of the late Middle Ages. It
is often called the "Byzantine" or the "majority text." The other is the
Greek Testament, edited by Westcott and Hort in the nineteenth century and
based upon the manuscripts of the fourth century, usually called the
"Alexandrian text." The King James Version was based upon the "Received
Text"; the American Standard Version was based upon the text of Westcott and
Hort. We do not believe that either of these texts is "liberal" or
"conservative." Not only Erasmus but also Westcott and Hort were seeking to
present a close copy of the original text. We are interested in which one is
closer to the original text of the New Testament.
Because (1) the Alexandrian manuscripts are much older and closer to the
time the originals were written, (2) a careful comparison of these
manuscripts with those of the Middle Ages has convinced us that a more
accurate and careful job of copying was done by the Alexandrian scribes, and
(3) Erasmus had to work in haste and with limited resources, it is our
conviction that these Alexandrian manuscripts, which were not known to
Erasmus, are, as a rule, the more accurate manuscripts to follow. Therefore,
along with the great majority of conservative scholars, we believe that the
text based upon the Alexandrian manuscripts is, as a whole, superior to the
text based upon manuscripts of the Middle Ages.
The portion of the New Testament that has any substantial variation between
the various manuscripts is only about one word in a thousand. These
variations in no way change the teaching of the New Testament on any
doctrine. Therefore, we consider this not an issue of modernism versus
conservatism but a matter of individual judgment on the part of Fundamental
Christians. Christians should be free to choose and use either of these
texts and still work together in harmony to teach and preach the Word of God
to those who are without it.

“LIVE YOUR LIFE IN A WAY THAT PROVES REPENTANCE”? Do you have to “SEEK GOD'S
PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE”? Folks, this is straight out of the pits of Hell!!!

If you are not 100% die-hard King
James Bible only as a believer (and vehemently against all modern
Alexandrian Bible versions), then I greatly encourage you to do a lot of
research on your own about the problems with the modern Bible versions. You

search function webpage. Get informed. Warn everyone! I am surprised
when I visit local Baptist churches, that even pastors are not familiar with
the problems with the Alexandrian Bible PERversions. So I share information
with them. I pray for them. I try to help open their eyes. Unfortunately,
many pastors are reluctant to know the truth, because then they will be
forced to make a decision of whether to continue supporting corrupt
institutions like Bob Jones University.
You know, I heard the newly
inaugurated present president of Bob Jones University preach when he came to
Guam in 2014. I think this was right before he took over as president of
BJU. He had traveled as an evangelist for 35 years prior to that. He spoke
on the subject of “WISDOM” (of all things), and I remember that I broke down
in tears and cried toward the end of the sermon in my pew, when he said
“Maybe some of you have made some unwise decisions in life.” Oh boy, I sure
have! Our great forgiving God loves sinners and gives second chances. Amen!
I'm just a sinner with a website. I have never claimed to be anything more.
I had never heard about the man, who visited and preached on Guam in 2014, before that time.
Unfortunately, that same man (I won't mention his name, because this is not
a personal battle) is VERY FOOLISH concern the Holy Bible. How can the
president of a Bible College endorse hundreds of Bible versions??? The man
is not a dummy. And he is not naive. No, he is not right with the Lord. He
is part of the problem. He is sinfully going along to get along with the
apostate mainstream neoevangelical crowd in America.

And since the pastor of the
corrupt independent Baptist mess down the street from me on Guam, is a close
personal friend of the newly appointed BJU president, they are stiff-necked
to the hills concerning the
Alexandrian cult. You cannot tell them anything. Before the present
pastor ruined the local church, they used to be King James Bible only in the
1990's. I heard Evangelist Tom Ferrell preach on the church's local radio
station when he visited Guam a few years ago. Dr. Ferrell said, “A friend
helps a friend to see!” That is all I have ever done, warning my BJU friends
(I am a friend to them) that Satan is behind the Alexandrian Bible versions.
And for that they have counted me as their enemy. Galatians 4:16, “Am I
therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?” They all
have the wrong attitude that just so long as they teach correctly (which
they don't), and profess to use the King James Bible (to make it look good),
that no harm is being done by the hundreds of Alexandrian Bible revisions.
But my friend, incalculable damage
is being done to the local New Testament church. Instead of saying “THUS
SAITH THE LORD!,” millions of churchgoers these days are saying, “YEA, HATH GOD SAID?” (Genesis 3:1). The modern Bible revisions often
contradict each other, and oftentimes contradict the King James Bible. For
example: John 20:17 in the King James Bible says Mary Magdalene DIDN'T touch
Jesus, but all of the Alexandrian Bible PERversions says that Mary was
holding onto Him. Jesus told her not to touch Him, because He hadn't
ascended to the Father yet. Hebrews 9:24 tells us why, “For Christ
is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures
of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God
for us: Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest
entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others.” If Mary
had touched Jesus, she would have corrupted Christ's blood sacrifice. Jesus
had to go sprinkle that liquid blood upon the heavenly Mercy Seat. Hebrews 9:1, “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but
by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place,
having obtained eternal redemption for us.”

I could go on all day
and night about the serious doctrinal problems with the Alexandrian Bible
PERversions!!! Yet the Bob Jones Bible Department says, “Christians should be free to choose and use
either of these texts and still work together in harmony to teach and preach
the Word of God to those who are without it.” No, although Christians do
already have the freedom to choose for them self, Christian leaders ought to
be warning people about the dangers and serious problems with the
Alexandrian Bible versions. BOB JONES' FACULTY SPEAK AS FOOLS!!! They might
as well say that Christians should have the freedom, to choose whether to
have an abortion or not. No, although you have the God-given freedom of
choice, you DON'T have PERMISSION to murder innocent people!!! And you don't
have God's permission to use and promote CORRUPTIBLE SEED!!!
Do you realize that the
Jehovah's Witness' NEW WORLD TRANSLATION (NWT) uses the
same exact Westcott and Hort Alexandrian Greek as all the modern Bible
versions!!! BJU sees no problem with that? Did you know that in every
place in the King James Bible, where we read that someone “worshipped”
Jesus, the modern Bible versions reduced it to a mere “knelt.” Well, you can
kneel before a king in respect, but that doesn't mean you're worshipping
him. The KJB says a leper “worshipped” Jesus in Matthew 8:2. Check any
modern PERversion and see what Satan has done to corrupt the Bible. The
Devil hates Jesus Christ, and is very jealous that He is God almighty. The
Alexandrian Bible texts attack, diminish and remove Christ's deity. That's
why the Devil completely removed Acts 8:37, which proclaims that Jesus is
THE SON OF GOD!!!
Psalm 138:2, “I will
worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness
and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above
all thy name.” Just as a man's name is only as good as his
word, so also is God's name only as good as His Word. That's why God
elevates His Word above His name. I don't have to be a Greek scholar to know
that something is horribly awry, when these so-called “new” and “better”
Bible versions attacks the deity of my dear Savior!!!
Take a
look at what the Easy To Read Version (ERV) does to corrupt Isaiah 7:14,
removing the virgin birth. BJU downplays the issue as a mere matter of
personal preference, and they refuse to criticize any of the Alexandrian
PERversions. What is wrong with their spiritual judgment? The Scriptures
teach us that THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL (1st Timothy 6:10).
And sadly,
Hyles-Anderson College (HAC), where I thankfully graduated in 1993, gave up
the Bible inspiration battle in 2008 and no longer exposes the Alexandrian
PERversions. I couldn't recommend HAC today. I guarantee you, if they don't
already do it, that HAC will follow BJU in selling Alexandrian versions in
their college bookstore, and quietly go along with the Alexandrian cult.
John Wesley was right, who said what one generation tolerates the next will
embrace. HAC is going down the toilet with Moody Bible Institute and Bob
Jones University. God will not bless any pastor, church or Bible college
that forsakes the inspiration of the King James Bible. And please don't be
conned, don't merely trust anyone who says they are “King James Bible only.”
ASK THEM how they feel about the corrupt Alexandrian Bible versions! ASK
THEM if they believe that only the originals are inspired.
If they say that they
believe God inspired the originals, but then preserved those inspired
words... ASK THEM if they believe that the King James Bible is itself
INSPIRED. HAC doesn't! They play with words. If God inspired the originals,
and then preserved those words, THEN HOW COULD THE KING JAMES BIBLE NOT BE
INSPIRED??? Many foolish pastors are downplaying the inspiration debate as
trifle and needless, but it is a big enough matter that First Baptist Church
of Hammond (and thus HAC which they own) absolutely refuse to undo their
new position in 2008 that says the King James
Bible is NOT INSPIRED. That's why Dr. Russell
Anderson has officially requested in 2015 that his good name be removed from
Hyles-Anderson College. I don't blame him, and I commend and respect him
for taking a stand. Amen brother! Amen! So I'm not just critical of BJU, I'm
against anyone who denies the inspiration of God's Word. If we don't have an
inspired Bible today, then we don't have God's Word. If at best we have a
flawed book, put together by imperfect men, then God broke His promise in
Psalm 12:7 to preserve His very pure words from Psalms 12:6. That's why EVERY
modern Alexandrian-based PERversion removes God's promise from Psalm 12:7,
which now says God preserves THE SAINTS instead. Bull!

Know Not to Attend Bob Jones University
At a local Baptist
church gathering the other night, I sat around a table with a group of
believers as we ate. There were a couple young people talking about where
they were considering to attend Bible college. Someone ignorantly said that
BJU is King James only. They also mentioned the name of a local BJU church
on Guam. Oh Boy, what a glorious opportunity to proclaim THE TRUTH, and I
did!!! I openly blasted BJU (and the shameful BJU church on Guam by name)
for their deception. Everyone at that table, by the time we finished eating,
all left KNOWING that BJU (and the corrupt BJU Baptist church down the
street from me on Guam) are DECEIVERS. Everyone listened attentively, and I
kindly expounded them with the Scriptures, exposing BJU (and we all should).
I shared with them
dozens of corruptions in the modern Bible PERversions. They had never heard
these things. I explained to them that Bob Jones University won't teach them
these things, because THEY DON'T CARE!!! Do you want to go to a “Bible
college” that doesn't care about THE BIBLE??? Think about that (and they
did). I think I convinced those young people NOT to attend Bob Jones
cemetery. I told them to attend a Bible college who are genuinely King James
Bible only. BJU and their graduates deceptively claim to only use the KJB,
but then sell Alexandrian versions out the back door, and promote them to
bilingual persons. (By the way, I told those young people to go look online
and see for themselves that BJU sells Alexandrian Bible versions.
BJU is NOT
King James Bible only!!!) BJU only permits guest speakers to use the KJB
from the college pulpit, but they sell and support the Alexandrian Bible
versions. What inconsistency!!! The truth is that they are playing both
sides of the debate, driving in the middle of the road, which is where all
the SKUNKS are!!! I'm not mad at BJU or the BJU church where I live, I'm
sick and tired of professed believers using multiple Bibles and seeing no
problem with having 200 available English Bible versions. And when you talk
to them, they insanely try to convince you that they don't agree with
hundreds of versions, as if supporting 5 or 6 is any better. Folks, God
wrote ONE BOOK, not two!!! The man with two watches never knows what time it
is.
I don't “have it in” for
BJU. I am tired of Satan perverting the Word of God. Jeremiah 23:36b, “ye
have perverted the words of the living God.”
Look what the Devil's crowd have done to corrupt Psalm 12:6-7. Do you
know why the Devil removed God's promise to “preserve” His “pure” words unto
every generation? It is because God couldn't keep that promise by giving us
200 Bible “versions.” The King James Bible is God's Word, not just another
“version”! I've been King James Bible only since I was saved at 13 age years
of age. What Bob Jones
University (BJU) and their graduates are doing is wicked and of the Devil,
spreading corruptible seed. Is there even one BJU alumni who agrees with my
Biblical stand? I've yet to find one. Shame on the whole rotten bunch!!! In
their heyday, BJU was considered the citadel of fundamentalism in America.
