2nd Thessalonians 3:1 is an interesting Scripture which tells us to pray that God's Word may remain free speech, “Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you.” Biblically, we ought to continually pray that our Freedom of Speech will continue here in America, and that it will be granted elsewhere around the world; such as in China and North Korea, where it is not permitted today. Freedom is not a right, it is a privilege that is the reward for doing right. Liberty is the freedom to make our own choices. Freedom is the reward for making the right choices.
Since Americans have been making all the wrong choices for the past century, in particular immoral choices, we are losing our freedoms and liberties. God is no longer blessing our nation as He once did. Wherever faith in God and the Word of God are proclaimed, there is peace and liberty; but where faith in God and the Bible are restricted there is evil, Communism, and tyranny. Many naive people despise and decry Capitalism; but Capitalism works just fine in an honest and free system.
Where there is legal and political corruption and widespread greed, Capitalism always eventually leads to fascist Imperialism and monopolist Corporatism. Capitalism is NOT the problem, evil is the culprit. Those who will not be controlled by God will be ruled by tyrants. To the exact same degree that a nation's citizens won't obey rule of God's Law, to that same extent they will be compelled by a Police State to obey the rule of men. And so it is today in America!
