We DRAW people into the Church with the unconditional love of Christ; but then we ATTACH them to the truth of the unchanging Words of God to teach them to follow Jesus Christ once in the Church, and not men.
1st Timothy 3:15, “But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”
Notice that we are members of the Church of THE LIVING GOD! If you've ever visited a Roman Catholic church mass, then you know the DEAD feeling. The Holy Spirit is not present there, except in your body as the only born-again Christian visiting. Catholics aren't born-again in a Biblical sense. Catholics have churchianity without Christianity! Likewise, the nation of Israel is DEAD, LIFELESS, without her true Messiah. The local New Testament Church is the pillar and ground of the truth, of the LIVING GOD; and the authority of the Church is the LIVING and inspired Words of God (the Bible).
