Romans 16:17-18, “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”
I was thinking today how ludicrous this whole situation is between me
and Harvest Baptist Church on Guam. Since 2014 they have banned,
shunned, ostracized and ignored me at Harvest Baptist Church. In 2017, I
literally begged three times for their pastors to please let me just
attend church services. They cold-heartedly said, “Go elsewhere”! Well
I'm still here and still the same hurting man I was back then. This
matter is much bigger than just a nice guy wanting to attend church, this is
over the
inspiration of the Holy Bible, and the
accuracy of the Gospel of free grace.
I attended Harvest for one year in 2014. I still have the prayer lists on my refrigerator, with my name in it for chronic neck pain. I still have the church bulletins from each Sunday when I attended. I saved all my notes from Pastor Marty Herron's expository sermons on Genesis. I made lots of friends at Harvest. They had my heart and I had theirs. Harvest was my home and I loved my church family. I hadn't been that happy in a long time. I bought a case of 500 Gospels of John, and brought them to the church office, because I love helping others for the Lord. I asked the senior pastor for permission to put tracts by Pastor Curtis Hutson on the tract table and he said it was okay. Ironically, he promotes John MacArthur's false gospel of Lordship Salvation, but he is okay with Curtis Hutson's free grace Gospel. These two men preach two VERY different gospels! Curtis Hutson is 100% correct, and Mr. MacArthur is 100% wrong!
Life had broken me down, and I was tired and weak. My faith in God kept me going, and I persevered by God's grace. I needed a church family, and I now had one at Harvest Baptist Church, but it wouldn't last. Seeing dozens of Bible revisions, and hearing Lordship Salvation preached from the church pulpit, alarmed me. I prayed and thought perhaps the church pastors would respond favorably to THE TRUTH, so I gave them a bunch of books and sermons to help them. They were hard-hearted, haughty in their deception. Despite clear evidence that Martin Luther (1483-1546) was not saved, they insisted Mr. Luther is a born-again believer. You need to understand that the Bob Jones crowd are deceitful liars! They will claim to use the King James Bible, but they also sanction the Alexandrian Bibles. They sell the Alexandrian Bibles. They, at will, quote from the Alexandrian Bibles. Bob Jones University (BJU) claim to use the King James Bible, but that is a lie of the Devil. I have heard their chapel speakers quote from the Alexandrian Bibles. They want the superficial appearance of doing the right thing, using only one Bible; but in reality, they are guilty of promoting corruptible seed, promoting umpteen Bible revisions, to their shame and coming judgment from God.
Unfortunately, I didn't realize until a few months had passed that I was involved in a Neo-evangelical cult that uses, sells and promotes the Alexandrian Bible versions. They do at least (mainly) use the King James Bible, or I wouldn't have wasted my time wanting to go back. They also use the corrupt Easy-To-Read Version (ERV). The church has multiple gospels floating around, depending on who you talk to. When I witnessed to Pastor Jared Baldwin, I asked him if he believed a person could admit they are a sinner, and simply believe the Gospel to be saved. His response was, “Yes,” which convinced me he is saved. When I witnessed to Jason on staff at their school he said more was required. He thinks a person must turn from sins to be saved. That is what Pastor Herron errantly believes and teaches. I heard Pastor Herron with my own two ears say during a church invitation at Harvest in 2014: “It is not enough to admit you are a sinner, you must also turn away from a lifestyle of sin to be saved.” That's exactly what he said, and I went home and cried, wondering if I should go back or not. Pastor Herron preaches another gospel. I do not think he is saved. I discovered that Harvest has a bunch of tares among the wheat.
I loved them so much, and they were my church family, and I had nowhere else to go. As you can see, this created a situation for me as a fundamentalist Bible-believing Christian. I don't regret my year at Harvest, because I have some precious memories, but I am disappointed in their pastors and church members for taking the low path, for dropping the ball for God, for epitomizing the naked, blind and wretched church of Laodicea:
Revelation 3:14-17, “And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:”
Harvest Baptist Church on Guam is miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked, but they don't realize it. They are blinded by the Devil. In their pride and spiritual blindness, they honor the Devil's Bible revisions, they bid Godspeed to false teachers like Dr. Steve Pettit and Pastor John MacArthur. I read this quote today from Pastor Harry Ironside (1876-1951)...
But the haughty religious leaders, determined to resist and refuse any and all evidence that Jesus was the Messiah, declared, “He casteth out demons through the prince of the demons.” It was an ominous sign of that which the Lord of glory was to face: utter rejection by those who should have received Him.

That describes the haughty religious leaders of Harvest Baptist Church and Bob Jones University, who are determined to resist and refuse any and all evidence that Lordship Salvation is another gospel, and the corrupt modern Bible revisions are of the Devil. Nobody cares in the Bob Jones' camp. I have reached out to them since 2017, pleading for a second chance to just attend their church services, but they have ostracized me. I have burning in my nervous system throughout the day. Sometimes it is hardly noticeable, but at other times it is overwhelming. I always feel like my arms are inflated with air, due to my second neck surgery gone wrong in 2010. I don't complain, because some people don't even have arms. I praise God for His abundant blessings. My constant prayer is for a wife.
The very spirit of a fundamentalist Bible-believing Christian is a willingness to divide over the truth if need be! We need a bunch of church splits in this country! When a church becomes corrupted with counterfeit Bible revisions, and the accursed Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation, a church split can bring revival and restore the integrity of that church. God pity these contemptible weakling preachers who are paranoid about allowing “controversies” (like exposing the Devil's Bible revisions, or the battle over the lie of Lordship Salvation) into their church. I met an intern from Pensacola Christian College (PCC), a wimp if ever I saw one, who was so determined to “build” his church (to make himself look good to those who paid him as a missionary pastor), that he shunned THE TRUTH. Ironically, the church still had a split, and many good people quit because of that foolish pastor's woeful lack of love for God and THE TRUTH. I promise you that a pastor who tries to build a ministry at the expense of THE TRUTH will build a sinking ship!!!
I've never seen a church recover from the snare of the Devil without a split. When Pastor Jack Hyles first came to Hammond, Indiana, to be the new pastor of the First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana in 1959, seven millionaires quit the church after his first year. The church split, but it was the beginning of 42 years of the most magnificent soulwinning church in American history! Thank God for Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001), my hero of the Christian faith! Brother Hyles wasn't perfect, and neither is anyone else, but he cared and stood for THE TRUTH!
So anyway, I decided to be a friend and help the Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, by giving them the truth and praying for God to open their eyes. I spent thousands of dollars on Alexander Scourby DVD's, fundamental books, music CD's and things to help others. God knows I just wanted to be a blessing. I burned sermons to CD to share with people I sat next to in church. I just wanted to share THE TRUTH with as many people as I could, with no ill intent. Unfortunately, the church pastors took offense with all of it. They resented Pastor Jack Hyles' preaching on the King James Bible. They even called me and Brother Hyles “a cult.” No, Harvest is the damn cult! It is now Sunday morning and I am sitting home, watching the X-files, writing this article, because Harvest won't allow me to return to attend church services. You couldn't make this stuff up! I am literally the only man in America begging to attend church!!! I know God will reward me, and punish Harvest's ungodly corrupted pastors, for disregarding THE TRUTH!
Kindly said, Harvest Baptist Church has my blood on their hands, for the past five years I haven't had a church to attend. I kindly told Pastor Baldwin in 2015 that I wanted to help them see the truth, to which he replied: “Pastor Herron is not going to change!” Yeah, I doubt if he will, because deceived religious men never do! Well, if I am wrong I am going to change, because that is what a righteous man does! They are religious men, but I am a righteous man, to God be the glory! I know God authored only ONE HOLY BIBLE, and all these Bible revisions today cannot be God's inspired Word. Any idiot knows that, but the religious professors at Bob Jones University are fools, thinking you can have multiple conflicting Bible versions. Even communist Cuba has enough sense to reject the Devil's Bibles!
There is this horrible mentality, and double standard in ecumenical Baptist today like Harvest, that claim to want the truth, but then rejects THE TRUTH when they hear it! The sad fact is that the Bob Jones University crowd have changed for the worse. Dr. Bob Jones Sr. (1883-1968) accurately preached Free Grace Theology, not this Lordship Salvation garbage that they preach today in 2020. I love you all at Harvest! I truly do! I prayed for you all today! I care about right doctrine. The truth is so plain and simple in the Bible. If you'll just listen to Alexander Scourby read Galatians, John and Ephesians, the Gospel is so obvious. Paul wrote to the church at Corinth and said he only wanted to know one thing—did they believe the Gospel? 1st Corinthians 2:2, “For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” Paul didn't want to know if they repented of their sins! Think about that.
The Bible plainly teaches that there is only ONE GOSPEL (Galatians 1:6-9), and it does not include turning from your sins (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). You cannot show me anywhere in the Bible where it says to “repent of your sin” to be saved. I hear these religious clowns quoting verses like Luke 13:5 and Acts 3:19, totally disregarding the Greek meaning of the word “repent” (which simply means a change of mind). But you don't need the Greek to understand the Bible, as long as you don't make assumptions and read into the text what is not there. The only way you can conclude that a person must “turn from your sin” to be saved, is to read more into the Scripture than it actually says.
In the Gospel of John we are taught 85 times to “believe,” but the word “repent” is never mentioned. The man who believes has also repented! He has changed his mind about sin and the gospel. He recognized that he is a needy sinner, and has trusted the 'GOOD NEWS' of Jesus Christ crucified, buried and risen to be saved. Getting saved is that simple! Recognizing that you are a needy sinner is very different than making a commitment to turn from your sin, which is human reformation, works! You don't have to give up any of your sins to be saved, you just need to see your need for Christ, so you will trust Him as your personal Savior!!! Harvest Baptist Church has been deceived by the Devil. I believe God led me to Harvest to help them to see the truth, as a true friend does, but they killed the prophets! Matthew 23:31, “Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.” God knows that I love everyone. Right doctrine matters. Our world is going to Hell because of professed Christians who merely want to go through the motions of playing church, with little or no regard for THE TRUTH!
