John MacArthur's Hopeless Repentance

Matthew 27:3, “Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders.”

       Satan is a beautiful liar! The Scriptures warned us that Satan would send his own counterfeit preachers, masquerading as Christ's ministers, bringing damnable heresies. 2nd Corinthians 11:13-15, “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”

Remember, these false prophets are deceitful and claim to be God's men! To the unlearned and simple, these men can easily deceive them! I am talking about ungodly ministers who corrupt the Gospel; namely, Jack Chick, David Cloud, John MacArthur, Ray Comfort, Kirk Cameron, David Platt, Joel Osteen, Charles Lawson, Paul Washer, Martin Luther, Chip Ingram, William Lane Craig, Don Blackwell, Doug Batchelor, Ellen White, Rick Warren, Jimmy Swaggart, John Hagee, Keith Gomez, William Grady, Beth Moore, Charles Stanley, Pat Robertson, Billy Graham, David White, Franklin Graham, Don Piper, and countless more heretics who require “turning from sinful behavior” to be saved.
 

Judas Iscariot Epitomizes Hopeless Repentance

One of my favorite books is called, “EXCEPT YE REPENT,” by one of my favorite doctrinally sound preachers, Pastor Harry A. Ironside (1876-1951). If you are struggling with the doctrine of repentance, this book is definitely for you my dear reader. In chapter 14 of the book titled, HOPELESS REPENTANCE, Brother Ironside says:

“Remorse is not repentance toward God. It brings no pardon, no remission of sins. It is but the terrible aftermath of a course of persistent rejection of the Word of the Lord, which, while it leaves the soul in an agony of bitter sorrow over opportunities forever lost and grace despised, works no change in the conscience but leaves it unpurged forever. It is in this connection that the history of Judas becomes so important for us. It is God's own warning signal to all who tamper with His truth and grace. To play fast and loose with divine revelation is fatal. Its dire effects abide forever.”

Thank you Pastor Ironside! I love this dear man of God. Pastor Ironside was one of Dwight Moody's successors as pastor of the great Moody Memorial Church in Chicago. Sadly, Moody church today is a disgrace, which has become completely ecumenical, publishing all of Dr. John MacArthur's poison literature teaching Lordship Salvation (i.e., Calvinism repackaged). It is tragic that thousands of independent Baptist churches have embraced the hopeless repentance of John MacArthur. God have pity of the ungodly Bob Jones University crowd, of which Mr. MacArthur is an alumni. Calvinism is not the Gospel, it is hopeless repentance!!!

I titled this article, “John MacArthur's Hopeless Repentance,” but I could have just as easily picked any of the preceding names. I chose Mr. MacArthur because he is the godfather of hopeless repentance today! I almost used Ray Comfort's name, simply because he is a very popular and likeable evangelist, beloved by churches worldwide. Ray takes in about $2,000,000 a year from his religious work!

Pastor John MacArthur is so corrupt in his theology that major cults promote him! Dr. MacArthur's Books Are Required Reading At Demonic Mormon Brigham Young University (BYU)!!! My God, what is wrong with Baptist churches all across America, like the despicable Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, who honor and promote John MacArthur as a Christian hero. The man is a devil! The pastors at Harvest Baptist Church need to get right with God. And their ungodly staff of Bob Jones alumni ought to be ashamed of themselves, a bunch of cult members! Harvest Baptist Church and Bob Jones University (BJU) are all members of both the Alexandrian cult and the Hopeless Repentance cult (aka, Lordship Salvation)!!! And please don't be fooled, there are actually pastors who refute the heresy of Lordship Salvation, while simultaneously promoting and defending the heresy of wrong repentance (i.e., turning from sin to be saved). They are two separate, but often related, heresies!!!

BJU and BYU have John MacArthur as a common denominator! Think about that! Why would a satanic Mormon university promote the likes of John MacArthur to their students? I'll tell you why, it is because they both agree in their perverted works-based theology concerning salvation! Read what the Jehovah's Witnesses teach concerning faith and works, and see for yourself how John MacArthur, Paul Washer and Ray Comfort are in total agreement...

As with all false prophets, Lordship Salvationists, Jehovah's Witnesses and those who require “turning from sins” to be saved, place the BURDEN of sin upon the sinner's shoulder, requiring CHANGE as a prerequisite to being saved. The OBJECT of the true Gospel of free grace is God's imputed righteousness (i.e., salvation is totally of the Lord); but in the false teaching of hopeless repentance (i.e., turning from sins and Lordship Salvation), man's reformation becomes the object of salvation instead. In other words, the object of true Bible repentance (a change of thinking) is believing the Gospel; whereas in false repentance, the object becomes a man reforming his ways.
 

Ray Comfort's Hopeless Repentance

If you ever listen to Evangelist Ray Comfort as he is street preaching, his goal is always to get the listener to commit to turning away from their sinful ways to be saved. That is manmade reformation, not Bible repentance. This is a perverse Gospel that cannot produce the new birth in Christ Jesus!

In the true Gospel, the goal is to lead a person to place their trust in Christ's sacrifice on the cross, and His subsequent burial and miraculous physical resurrection after three days. The true Gospel focuses solely on the redeeming work of Christ at Calvary; whereas hopeless repentance focuses in part on getting the person to change their lifestyle. The latter is partial faith in Christ plus works! This is damnable heresy and an accursed Gospel (Galatians 1:6-9).

One of the most deadly false prophets today is Evangelist Ray Comfort, who actually uses the phrase “LIVING A LIFESTYLE” while witnessing to a woman on an airplane (video clip). Ray tells her that she must be “SORRY” for her sins, which is remorse, not repentance! In the following YouTube video clip, look at the BIG LIE Evangelist Ray Comfort tells this poor deceived woman passenger on an airplane. Kindly, Ray says that “repentance” means “LIVING A LIFESTYLE THAT PROVES THE REALITY OF YOUR REPENTANCE!” And then he adds, “IT'S A CONTINUAL THING!” Read for yourself what Mr. Comfort horribly teaches this woman, in this transcript from the Living Waters video...

“So if the plane goes down, you'd end up in Hell! There are two things you have to do to be saved. Do you remember what they are? I told you what they are—You've got to repent and trust the Savior! ... God's offering you everlasting life upon your repentance and faith in Christ. Who in his right mind wouldn't say, 'Whoa! That's a good offer!' (The curious woman asks what it means to “repent”?)... Have you ever said you're sorry to someone you did something wrong to? That's all repentance is—You've sinned against God; it's a matter of saying, 'God, I'm sorry,' and then LIVING A LIFESTYLE that proves the reality of your repentance. That's what repentance is, it's a continual thing! God, 'I'm sorry, but I'm not going going to lie or steal or blaspheme Your name ever again. It has that attitude! And the second thing—trust in Jesus!” [emphasis added]

Dear reader, I triple-dog dare you to show me even one verse from the Holy Bible that teaches that “LIVING A LIFESTYLE” is required as part of being saved. You cannot! Now my friend, “a double-dog dare” is serious business, but a triple-dog dare is something you don't want to mess around with! I triple-dog dare you to show me even one Bible verse that agrees with these false statements by Ray Comfort.

Judas was sorry for what he did. Judas did exactly what Ray Comfort tells people to be saved, he became remorseful with a sorrowful heart. In fact, Judas returned the thirty pieces of silver to the Pharisees, but they refused because it was blood money. So Judas tossed the coins on the floor and fled! My friend, you can try any act of desperation you can think of, but it will not help save you! Before his death, agnostic singer Frank Sinatra arranged his will to give $100,000,000 to abused children when he died. I cannot help but believe that Mr. Sinatra was seeking to atone for his own life of recklessness and sin (wine, women and song). I do not believe Frank was saved. From the interviews I have read of Mr. Sinatra, has was openly critical of religion, but did not seek God in his life.

When Adam and Eve sinned, Adam sewed fig leaves together in an attempt to cover their nakedness, to deal with their sins; but God rejected Adam's fig-leaf religion! God rejected the best grain offering that Cain was able to produce as a farmer. From the beginning of time, humanity has sought to please God through the works of the flesh, but no one has ever inherited eternal life through human will or power. Sin must be paid for! The very idea that a person must turn away from their sinful ways, as a prerequisite to saving-faith in Jesus Christ is offensive to God. The purpose of God's LAW is to teach us that we are guilty sinners (Romans 3:19-20), and then bring us to Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:24-26), to be saved by God's GRACE (Ephesians 2:8-10)!

Please don't be a fool by following the hopeless repentance of Judas Iscariot, John MacArthur, Ray Comfort, Paul Washer and other GOSPEL PERVERTS! Judas found out the hard way, as will Ray Comfort, John MacArthur and all their deceived followers, that hopeless repentance does not produce the new birth...

I love everybody. I do not hate those with whom I theologically disagree! God knows my heart. Albeit, somebody needs to tell the truth. Amazingly, the Bible actually says we need false prophets, so that those who are skilled in the Word of God can be manifest. 1st Corinthians 11:19, “For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.” False teachers make my job easy! When Ray Comfort puts his foot in his mouth theologically, it is easy for me to prove him a liar by showing you what the Word of God says, or doesn't say! You cannot show me one verse in the Bible about “forsaking sins” or “turning from sins” to be saved. There is no mention in the Bible of “repenting of sins” to be saved.

False religion always says to DO THIS or DO THAT to be saved, but the Gospel says IT IS DONE! Jesus paid our debt of sin on the cross at Calvary! There are two types of religions: DO and DONE! Dr. Bob Jones Sr. used to rightly say that religion says to do and live, but Christianity says to live and do! God saves us and then the Holy Spirit changes us! That is how it is supposed to work. False religion, such as what Ray Comfort and John MacArthur teach, tells us to reform, and continue to reform, that we may know we are saved. That is manmade transformation, not the transforming power of the Holy Spirit in the new birth by faith alone in the Gospel.

The Bible says there is only ONE THING required to be saved, and that is to BELIEVE the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ! Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” In Ray Comfort's and Paul Washer's and John MacArthur's counterfeit plan of salvation, there are TWO THINGS required to be saved: REPENTANCE and FAITH. No to be clear, repentance is necessary to be saved, but repentance is a part of believing, not a separate act. We repent TO believe, not repent AND believe! We change our mind and believe the Gospel. That is salvation. In hopeless repentance, we change our behavior (like Judas did) and then follow Christ, which is no faith at all. Judas knew he had betrayed Christ. Judas had been a follower of Jesus until the very end. Judas was sorry for betraying innocent blood, yet he found out in Hell that you don't get saved by living the Christian life.
